Blac Chynas Dad Dishes on Her Rob Kardashian Romance
She was born to be a star. Blac Chyna’s little-known father, Eric Holland, dished on his daughter and revealed what he thinks about her rapid rise to fame in his first-ever interview with the Daily Mail on Wednesday, June 29.
While the 28-year-old model’s relationship with Rob Kardashian has been a whirlwind since they started dating in January, Holland is excited about his daughter’s engagement and pregnancy. “Oh yeah, I’m happy of course. She knows that,” he said. “As soon as I found out I was all happy for her. They’re having a baby and everything. She’s got my blessings.”
Although Holland has given his stamp of approval, Kardashian’s family hasn’t been quite so supportive. Rob’s half sister Kylie Jenner has been dating Tyga on and off for more than a year, which has caused friction in the famous family. Chyna was previously engaged to the “Rack City” rapper and they share a 3-year-old son, King Cairo.
Despite the drama, Holland, 49, who lives in Maryland, has good things to say about his future son-in-law. “I met Rob. He seems like a nice man. He was nice with me and everything so I’m happy for her,” he said.
Chyna’s fame has skyrocketed in recent months due to her high-profile romance, but her dad says the Lashed Salon owner always worked hard to achieve her goals. “I don’t think that all this has hit her by surprise,” he said. “She was always a little different, you know. I always knew that she was gonna end up somewhere.”
“She liked change; she never liked to stay the same,” he continued. “She was always doing something different and wanted to achieve things — she was this way since she was 13 or 14 years old.”
Hollan also revealed that Chyna probably would not be overwhelmed by joining the Kardashian clan because her family is even bigger! He says the bride-to-be has two half brothers and nine half sisters, most of whom live in Maryland and Virginia. And she still takes time out of her busy schedule to see them.
One example of how she puts family first: “She was at my little daughter Summer’s birthday party two weeks ago, and she took some pictures with everyone,” he said. “It was really nice she made the effort for her sister.”
“She’s still in touch with all her family; she’s never forgotten her roots,” Holland said. “People might think that she is from a broken home, but I know that’s not true. I always told her it’s not how you start — it’s how you finish. That’s the most important part of life, you know. We all have our ups and downs, but it’s how you deal with them.”
Next up for the couple, they are planning their wedding and starring in E!’s upcoming docuseries Rob & Chyna. The pair “will get married before the baby is born in October,” a source previously told Us Weekly.
