Passing down the silver spoon! Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ massive Hollywood success is trickling down to her children.
The Veep alum, who won six consecutive Emmys for her role as Selina Meyer on the HBO comedy, married husband Brad Hall in 1987. the couple went on to welcome sons Henry and Charlie in July 1992 and May 1997, respectively.
As they’ve grown up, the boys have each pursued careers in entertainment. Henry is a musician, while Charlie is an actor who has appeared on Single Drunk Female, Love, Victor and Sex Lives of College Girls. The HBO Max show puts Louis-Dreyfus’ youngest child in some pretty NSFW situations.
“Yes, it’s a very racy show,” Louis-Dreyfus told Jimmy Kimmel in January 2023 when asked whether she’d witnessed character, Andrew, getting intimate with Whitney Chase (Alyah Chanelle Scott) on screen. “I did watch the show and I think he was, you know, really great. He was adorable. He was f—king some girl in the library and I thought it was dynamite.”
The Seinfeld alum frequently supports her boys in their endeavors, even bringing Charlie as her date to the December 2022 White House State Dinner. The mother-son duo held hands while dressed to the nines at the Washington, D.C. soiree.
The New Adventures of Old Christine alum — who often champions Henry’s music via social media — told Entertainment Tonight in September 2022 that her kids’ interest in show business have allowed them to “really respect what I do for a living.”
In terms of Charlie’s acting career, she explained: “He’s really digging being an actor and he’s really good. Good on him.”
Earlier that year, Louis-Dreyfus shared a sweet selfie with her sons via Instagram while the family celebrated Mother’s Day. “These boys have made me one happy mama,” she captioned the May 2020 photo.
In addition to shouting out her kids, Louis-Dreyfus never misses an opportunity to praise her husband, whom she met in college during the 1980s. The Saturday Night Live alum and the Onward actress have worked together multiple times — he executive produced the 2011 short film Picture Paris and the early 2000s sitcom Watching Ellie, both starring Louis-Dreyfus — and they celebrate their love whenever they can.
“34 years in, keeping our head above water. Love and love to the love of my life,” Louis-Dreyfus captioned an Instagram collage of her and Hall floating in the sea, kissing and smiling in honor of their 34th anniversary in June 2021.
Three years prior, the Golden Globe nominee opened up about falling in love with her spouse — and how she knew he was The One.

“He was gorgeous. He looked like Björn Borg or something,” she shared with The New Yorker in 2018. “I remember thinking early on that this was the guy for me, but I didn’t dare tell anyone, for fear they would say, ‘That’s ridiculous. You’re so young — you don’t know what you’re talking about.’ So I kept that little secret close to my heart.”
