Liam Can't Stop Crossing Lines With Steffy's New Man

Love them or hate them, passionate and jealousy-fueled love triangles are one of the most common storylines on popular soap operas, such as The Bold and the Beautiful. 

One of the most famous love triangles in the long-running soap program is the between central characters Ridge Forrester (Ronn Moss/Thorsten Kaye), Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), and Dr. Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo).

This rivalry has resulted in over three decades of marriages, divorces and children, two of whom have continued the Logan-Hayes family rivalry. Ridge and Taylor’s daughter Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes) and Brooke’s daughter Hope Logan (Kim Matula/Annika Noelle) have become main characters in the show, as the two women have competed for the love of both Oliver Jones (Zach Conroy) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).

The Hope-Steffy-Liam triangle is as twisted as any in the show, and has recently heated up once again, especially between Steffy and Liam. 

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’: Liam and Steffy’s relationship

Steffy and Liam’s first romantic interactions were in the mid 2010s as Steffy competed with her rival Hope for Liam’s love. Both Steffy and Hope have run away with Liam on their respective wedding nights, causing understandable complication and animosity between the three.

As is common in many sitcoms, Steffy has had a wide variety of tragedies in her life, which has extended into her relationship with Liam. Steffy and Liam were married twice, and Steffy became pregnant with Liam’s child. Steffy tragically suffered a miscarriage, which was influential in damaging the two’s relationship.

Also damaging to Liam and Steffy’s relationship is Steffy’s various romantic affairs with various members of the Spencer family. Steffy and Liam officially ended when Steffy finally chose to break away from Liam, after many up and downs.

Steffy and Liam are still forced to interact quite frequently, as they are the parents of their daughter Kelly. Fans of the show will soon see the upcoming legal battle for Kelly’s custody, which could be further complicated by Steffy’s new relationship. 

Steffy’s relationship with Dr. Finn

Steffy has recently become romantically involved with the steamy Dr. John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), also known as Finn. Steffy and Finn met in a more professional setting, as Finn medically treated the somewhat troubled Steffy, prescribing her painkillers.

After Steffy was released from Finn’s care in the hospital, the doctor began making more and more frequent house calls. The two have become a fan-favorite couple, earning the couple nickname SINN. Steffy and Finn is fairly new in the show’s long-running story, but from what fans have seen, Finn has Steffy’s best interests at heart.

It will be interesting to see if Steffy is also interested in a long-term love affair with Finn, or if she is using the doctor to satisfy her painkiller drug habit. Finn is aware of Steffy’s addiction and has warned her that he will not become her dealer just because they are together.

Another complication for the new lovers’ budding relationship is the always looming Liam, who recently made a visit to the doctor’s office, but not for any type of medical treatment. 

Liam’s creepy meddling with Steffy and Finn’s relationship

Liam is known for his inability to choose between Hope and Steffy, and has recently reentered Steffy’s life.

In the September 15 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Liam made a strange visit to Finn’s office to check in on his ex-wife. Liam first asks about Finn’s treatment for Steffy, but he clearly has a different reason for his unannounced visit. Liam asks Finn if he has feelings for the doctor’s patient, which Finn admits that he does. Finn tells Liam that he respects Steffy and has strong feelings for her.

Many fans celebrated the way that Finn stood up to Liam, further strengthening their calls for Liam to leave Steffy alone.
